Groups in Agreement on Health Care Reform
Several groups came to an agreement on health care reform Friday.
Wired PR News – Consumers, insurance providers, physicians, and other groups that do not normally see eye to eye on health care measures, were in sync on Friday regarding health care reform efforts. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the groups reached an agreement that would assist lawmakers with where to go next with repairing the health care system.
As noted by the AP, many expected more details to be contained in the Health Reform Dialogue, which is five pages long. Richard Kirsch, Director of Health Care for America Now, is quoted as stating of the measure, “They’ve moved the health care debate forward a few inches.”
However, other see the progress as an important move in the right direction. Mary Grealy with the Healthcare Leadership Council, is quoted in the report as stating, “I think what this document represents are some tough choices and some very tough consensus… It tells Congress: here are some very important components for health care reform that you can now be assured have widespread agreement.”
