A man is accused of assault after having a bathroom emergency on an international flight.
Wired PR News – A man has been charged with assault after attempting to use a bathroom on an international flight. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Joao Correa was said to have had a bathroom emergency but was unable to use the restroom in his seating class due to a drink cart blocking the aisle. Correa reportedly requested to use the facilities in another class, but was not allowed.
As noted by the AP, policies of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) prohibit the use of bathrooms in areas other than a passenger’s seating class when on an international flight.
Correa now faces a felony charge for allegedly twisting the arm of a flight attendant after being told he could not use a business class bathroom. He was arrested after the plane landed, and subsequently released from jail until his court hearing.
