Good Fat May Be Key to Weight Loss
Research on what has been labeled good fat may help with weight loss.
Wired PR News – Studies pertaining to fat categorized as “good fat” may be beneficial for weight loss and combating obesity. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), scientists have discovered that beneficial fat once believed to disappear or be inactive in adulthood does remain in individuals when they become adults and can aide the body in burning calories.
As noted by the AP, doctors now believe that the information may be helpful for developing a pill or other remedies that can assist with speeding up the fat burning process for obese or overweight individuals. Dr. Louis Aronne, a weight control expert with the New York based Weill Cornell Medical Center is quoted in the report as stating in regards to the potential impact of the findings, “I don’t want to use the word ‘exercise-in-a-pill,’ but it’s doing something (that’s) getting rid of calories.”
The three research studies were published in the New England Journal of Medicine Thursday.
