A stranger offers assistance to a family living in a fire destroyed home.
Wired PR News – A stranger came to the aid of a Dallas family who had been living in their badly burned home for weeks. As reported by CBS 11 News, Tammy Adams enlisted the help of the Home Builders Association of Greater Dallas to provide South Oak Cliff residents Wilson Gibson and his family with assistance in rebuilding their home.
Adams had provided rides to Gibson’s mother Betty prior to making the call to the organization. Elizabeth Newman with HBA Greater Dallas is quoted in the report as stating, “It was just a heartfelt thing… How can you not help when you see these people?”
As noted by CBS 11, the renovations are estimated to cost $45,000 to $65,000, but will be provided at no cost to the family.
Individuals who may be interested in providing monetary donations to the organization may contact HomeAid/Home Builders Care at 5816 W. Plano Parkway in Plano, TX 75093 or call (214) 615-5013. Household and other items can be donated to the family at Assured Self Storage at Big Town. Contact Laura and Tim Gergen at 3003 Mesquite, TX 75150, or call (214) 328-3830.
