The nation has finally gotten a first look at the Obamas’ new dog upon his arrival at the White House.
Wired PR News – Those long awaiting a first look at the Obamas’ choice for White House pooch have finally gotten their wish. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the dog, which is named Bo, was shown off on the White House South Lawn Tuesday following his arrival at his new home.
President Barack Obama is quoted by the AP as stating of the family’s new addition, “He’s a star. He’s got star quality.” He is further quoted as remarking on dog walking duties, “We all have to take turns walking the dog.”
As noted by the AP, the puppy has had three other homes prior to going to the White House, most recently spending time with a dog trainer in Virginia. Bo is a Portuguese water dog.
