San Francisco, California (WiredPRNews.com) — San Mateo County court ruled another multi-million dollar victory for Bay Area personal injury lawyer, Mary Alexander on behalf of her client, Tricia Roth who was severely injured in a car accident and became a quadriplegic.

After the court’s verdict in the favor of her client, Alexander called it a victory for the rights of the people. It was, “a proper victory for victim’s rights.” she said.

Roman Pantoja hit Tricia Roth’s car in 2006. As the result of collusion, Roth suffered a broken neck, could not move her legs and arms and was rendered quadriplegic. The medical reports showed that she would never return to work and her life expectancy was also reduced.

Roth would have to live an altered life as she would not be able to join her husband for ballroom dancing which both of them enjoyed, nor would she be able to swim or go horseback ridinganymore.

The court, upon concluding the findings, held the employer Division 1 All Service Inc. liable for the car accident injury as the truck that struck Roth’s car was a work vehicle, and the accident occurred due to the driver’s neglect.

Roth was awarded with recovery of damages for pain and suffering, medical expenses and loss of income. A sum of money was also allocated for her husband’s loss of consortium and income lost, as he would be the full time caretaker of his wife.
