Doctors Remove 40 Pound Malignancy from Woman
Doctors in Germany reportedly removed a 40-pound tumor from a woman.
Wired PR News – Doctors in Germany have reportedly removed a 40-pound tumor from a woman. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the surgeons successfully removed the malignancy from the woman after five operations. The tumor is said to have comprised one third of the woman’s body weight.
As noted in the report, the 35 year-old Saudi Arabian woman had the massive bone growth on her pelvis, and was given a prognosis of having only a few weeks to live upon arriving in Germany for medical care last September. The tumor reportedly caused her to be bedridden for five years.
Dr. Heinz Zurbruegg, a surgeon at Berlin based Capital Health clinic, is said by the AP to have stated that the woman could now return home, and may be given an artificial hip as the next step.
