A man posing as a military officer is wanted by Dallas police.

Wired PR News – A man who posed as a military officer is wanted for questioning by the Dallas Police Department. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Dallas police are searching for Ryan Caskey, who accompanied patrol officers under false pretenses while helping them make an arrest.

As noted in the report, authorities say Caskey, who told them he was with the FBI, was in possession of a U.S. Marine military police badge, Glock, bullet proof vest, and black Crown Victoria with red and blue flashing lights like those used by police officers in the front of the vehicle. Lt. Andy Harvey with the DPD is quoted as stating of the officers who allowed Caskey on their ride along, “They just assumed that with his credentials that he was legit… I guess the more he did, the more he felt comfortable doing it.”

Police say Caskey was driving a car with the Texas license plate number DN84L. He is further noted in the report to be 6 foot 1, 180 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes. Individuals with information pertaining to his whereabouts are asked to call 911.
