NBC Exec Dies on Set of Pilot
Nora O’Brien died unexpectedly Wednesday on the set of “Parenthood” pilot.
Wired PR News – An NBC exec died suddenly on the set of a pilot program of the network Wednesday night. As reported by Reuters, 42 year-old Nora O’Brien, who worked as vice president for NBC Universal drama programming passed away from a brain aneurysm after collapsing on the set of “Parenthood.”
NBC Universal is quoted by Reuters as stating of O’Brien, “Our hearts go out to the family and friends of our beloved colleague Nora, who was respected and cherished by so many people in the entertainment community… She’ll truly be missed by all of us.”
Mark Stern, executive vice president for NBC sister network Sci Fi, is also quoted as stating of working with O’Brien, “…the most amazing thing about her was her integrity. She fought for what she believed in, and she didn’t tolerate dishonesty or a lot of the bull this business can throw at you. She believed in being a straight-up honest person, and that’s why so many people were touched by her and are devastated by her loss.”
