Swine Flu Pandemic said to be Looming
The WHO has stated that a swine flu pandemic is imminent.
Wired PR News – The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that the spreading swine flu virus will likely lead to a pandemic. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the global health organization warned of the threat on Wednesday as the number of new confirmed cases increases.
Margaret Chan, WHO Director General, is quoted as stating, “It really is all of humanity that is under threat during a pandemic… We do not have all the answers right now, but we will get them.” The organization has already declared a Phase 5 outbreak on the threat scale.
President Barack Obama is quoted in the report as stating in a news conference on Wednesday night of the outbreak in the U.S., “Every American should know that the federal government is prepared to do whatever is necessary to control the impact of this virus.”
