The actor, comedian, and chef died after a long illness on Monday.
Wired PR News – Actor Dom DeLuise has passed away. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the entertainer died Monday night in his sleep after a long battle with an illness.
DeLuise earned notoriety as an actor, comedian, producer, director, chef, and author. He has appeared in such movies as “Blazing Saddles” and “Smokey and the Bandit II” in which he worked alongside his close friend Burt Reynolds.
Reynolds is quoted by the AP as stating of DeLuise, “I was thinking about this the other day… As you get older and start to lose people you love, you think about it more and I was dreading this moment. Dom always made you feel better when he was around and there will never be another like him. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. I will miss him very much.”
