24 Star Arrested on Assault Charges
Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on assault charges Thursday.
Wired PR News – Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested on charges related to an assault Thursday. As reported by AFP, the “24” star surrendered to police after being charged with a misdemeanor for allegedly head butting a fashion designer during a party in Manhattan. The designer, Jack McCullough reportedly claimed that the incident at a nightclub on Monday resulted in a cut to his face.
As noted in the AFP report, Sutherland, 42, is currently free pending a court appearance; however, the date for the hearing was not yet known at the time of the report.
As further noted by AFP, Sutherland is presently on probation due to a drunk driving incident for which he spent 48 hours in jail in 2007, which may have an impact on his legal issues.
Sutherland is well known for his role on the popular television series “24.”
