As reported by AFP, Mike Massimino and six of his crew members are currently on mission STS-125, of which Massimino is keeping thousands of followers up to speed.
As quoted in the report, Massimino tweeted hours before taking off on the high risk mission, “Next stop, Earth Orbit!!” The mission specialist used the popular online social networking medium to provide updates during prior training as well, while in Houston.
As noted by AFP, Atlantis is expected to arrive at Hubble for maintenance of the telescope Wednesday afternoon. Other crew members on board include commander Scott Altman, pilot Gregory Johnson, and other specialists Megan McArthur, Andrew Fuestel, Michael Good, and John Grunsfield.
