Alpha Dog Trial to Begin After Nine Years
The trial of accused murderer Jesse James Hollywood is set to begin after almost a decade.
Wired PR News – The long awaited trial of Jesse James Hollywood is set to begin. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the trial for the murder of 15 year-old Nick Markowitz, who was kidnapped and killed in 2000, purportedly over the drug debt of his half-brother, will begin on Friday.
As noted in the report, Markowitz was said to be kidnapped by Hollywood and others after his brother Ben Markowitz failed to pay money owed for marijuana. The teenager was reportedly with his captors for days before being killed. Hollywood stands accused of persuading one of his drug dealers to commit the murder in exchange for forgiving a drug debt. The murder inspired the 2007 film, Alpha Dog.
Hollywood could receive the death penalty if found guilty.
