A woman in Texas is claiming she was fired for being an atheist.
Wired PR News – A woman in Texas is claiming that she was fired from her job for being an atheist. As reported by CBS 11 News, McKinney resident Amanda Donaldson alleges she was fired from a Christian –based chiropractic practice for not believing in God.
Donaldson is quoted by CBS 11 as stating of her firing by Dr. Scott Dawson, “He said, ‘I don’t like the negative behavior you’re exhibiting because you don’t have God. You need to accept Christ… There is no room for your thoughts and opinions on God in my work place. Would you please give me your key?”
Dr. Dawson is reportedly claiming Donaldson was not fired and insists she willingly left the position after a disagreement. As noted in the report, Donaldson has filed complaints with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Texas Workforce Commission.
