Cases of the swine flu have reportedly surfaced in every state in the country.

Wired PR News – Health officials have stated that cases of the swine flu have been found in each state in the U.S. As reported by HealthDay News, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention stated this week that the total number of people infected with the H1N1 swine flu virus may have reached over 200,000, and new cases will possibly be reported.

Tom Skinner, a spokesperson for the CDC, is quoted in the HealthDay report as stating, “It’s accurate to say that there are probably several hundred thousand people that have been impacted by this flu… But that’s in line with what we would see with seasonal influenza if we had the number of cases we are reporting right now.”

As noted in the report, many cases are deemed mild and require little time to recover.
