Alternative Medicine Becomes More Conventional
Alternative treatments are steadily gaining more acceptance in the medical field.
Wired PR News – Alternative medicine is becoming more widely accepted in hospitals and doctors offices today. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), as more people look to natural remedies to treat their ailments, a number of hospitals and medical care practitioners have integrated alternative therapies into their health care offerings.
As noted in the report, many are pressing for more serious research into these types of treatments for the protection of consumers who may be unaware that some natural remedies can have the same kind of serious side effects as conventional medicines. Some related products do not require FDA approval in accordance with provisions of the Dietary Supplement and Health Education Act of 1994.
As further noted by the AP, experts advise that consumers remain aware of the potential affects of taking products marketed as natural in terms of their safety and perceived benefits.
