Dr. LeRoy Carhart has stated he will provide third term abortions in Kansas.
Wired PR News – The recent death of Dr. George Tiller will not put an end to late term abortions being performed in Kansas. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Nebraska doctor LeRoy Carhart stated Wednesday that he would provide the procedure for patients in Kansas.
Carhart is quoted by the AP as stating in an interview, “there will be a place in Kansas for the later second- and the medically indicated third-trimester patients very soon.” However, in regards to remaining tight-lipped on specific details about his plans, the doctor is quoted as stating, “I just think that until everything is in place, it’s something that doesn’t need to be talked about in detail.”
Dr. George Tiller, who once operated one of the only clinics in the U.S. that provided late term abortions, was shot and killed in a church May 31. Anti-abortion activist Scott Roeder is currently in jail after being charged with his murder.
