Singer Files for Divorce After Two Years

Singer Usher and his wife have filed for divorce.

User Raymond has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife of less than two years.

Wired PR News – Grammy winning artist User and his wife, Tameka Foster Raymond, have reportedly filed for divorce. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the couple, who have been married for less than two years filed on Friday in Atlanta’s Superior Court. The two, who were married in August 2007, have two sons together. Details about the divorce have reportedly not been released.

As noted by the AP, Usher defended his marriage in May 2008 in regards to negative remarks made about the union online. User is quoted as having then stated, “I decided to marry this woman, then I decide to be a father to my child… It’s not like I got caught with a gram of coke in my car or speeding or was caught for murder, so why would I be ridiculed, that’s why I don’t understand — that’s the part that is mind boggling. Why would I be ridiculed for that, even a year later?”
