The Alaska governor has reportedly accepted the apology made by the late night talk show host Monday night.
Wired PR News – Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has reportedly accepted the apology of late night talk show host David Letterman, made Monday night. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Letterman apologized for a joke he made that referenced one of Palin’s daughters being “knocked up” by a baseball star.
Letterman is quoted in the report as stating, “I’m sorry about it, and I’ll try to do better in the future… I feel that I need to do the right thing here and apologize for having told that joke. It’s not your fault that it was misunderstood, it’s my fault that it was misunderstood.”
Palin is quoted by the AP as stating in her response to Letterman’s apology that she accepted it, “on behalf of all young women, like my daughters, who hope men who `joke’ about public displays of sexual exploitation of girls will soon evolve.”
