T.R. Knight is set to leave Grey’s Anatomy.

Wired PR News – After months of speculation on whether “Grey’s Anatomy” star Katherine Heigl would be leaving the hit drama, another cast member’s departure has been confirmed. As reported by Us Magazine, T.R. Knight is set to leave the show after his contract was terminated this week.

Knight’s “Grey’s Anatomy” co-star, Melissa George, reportedly confirmed the news to Us Magazine, and is quoted as stating, “He’s one of my best friends… I feel great for him.”

George is further quoted as remarking on possible future plans for her friend, “We just went to see two Broadway shows in the last two days. That’s something great, you know? For him.” As noted by Us Magazine, Knight may reportedly star in the Broadway production Lend Me a Tenor next year.

In regards to Heigl, whose character is battling brain cancer, George expressed uncertainty on whether she will remain a cast member.
