Apple CEO Reportedly Received Liver Transplant
Steve Jobs is said to have undergone a liver transplant after taking a medical leave.
Wired PR News – Apple CEO Steve Jobs reportedly underwent a liver transplant following taking a leave from the company for a medical condition in January. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), it has been two months since Jobs received the transplant, and his recovery is said to be going well according to The Wall Street Journal.
As noted by the AP, the initial announcement of Jobs’ planned leave had a significant impact on Apple shares, which decreased by seven percent at the time, but have faired well since. Jobs co-founded Apple in 1976.
A spokesperson for Apple Inc. Steve Dowling is quoted in the report as stating to the AP, “Steve continues to look forward to returning to Apple at the end of June and there is nothing further to say.”
