St. Francis Medical Center Charity Ball 2009

LOS ANGELES, JUNE 20 — (WiredPRNews.com) The 2009 Charity Ball will celebrate St. Francis Medical Center’s legacy of charitable service to the community while raising funds to ensure vital healthcare services are available in the future. The event’s proceeds will support essential outreach programs and charitable care for children and families in the Southeast Los Angeles community.

Set for June 20th, Actress, comedian, author, playwright and TV personality KIM COLES will host the festivities all geared toward promoting the health and wellness of the community. “Alot of organizations say they give back to the community and it’s usually monetarily. But St Francis has an engine for the community to be reformed and they actually work to make the community better. I am honored to be the host of this year’s Charity Ball and encourage all those who are able to join me in raising funds for vital healthcare services,” says actress and event host, Kim Coles.

The event to be held on Paramount Studios property will feature a full course meal catered by Wolfgang Puck, live entertainment, a marketplace, and Silent/Live Auctions sponsored by Tres Generaciones, Monster Cable, Dollhouse Shoes, Flud Timepieces, and BlueStar Jets among many others. Some of this year’s confirmed celebrities and dignitaries include Bollywood Superstar, Mallika Sherawat, Brian White and the Helping Hands Charity, Judy Tenuta, Wendy Raquel Robinson, Chris Robinson, Jackie Long, and Christian Audigier while others are confirming daily.

“The purpose of the charity ball is to raise dollars for the preservation of SFMC’s programs and services that are a critical lifeline to healthcare access to the over one million residents in South Los Angeles. Our ability to serve the community is only proportional to the generosity of others,” says Rodney D. Franks, CEO of St. Francis Medical Center Foundation.

Red Carpet Arrivals begin @ 6:30 pm which heads into the venue’s lush VIP Setting & Media Room, followed by the dinner to commence at 8:00 pm.
