Dallas Police Chase Crash
A high-speed police chase on a Dallas freeway ended after the suspect crashed into another vehicle.
Wired PR News – A suspect that led police on a long high-speed chase in Dallas on Monday ended it by colliding with another vehicle. As reported by CBS 11 News, the driver of a grey Nissan Maxima was chased by police for more than an hour, with the pursuit beginning around 1:00 in the afternoon. The suspect, Shawn William Michel, reportedly led police through more than one city before crashing with a pickup truck driven by Lance Anderson, after exiting I-635.
As noted in the report, Michel was reportedly hospitalized following the incident and said to be in critical condition. Anderson was said to be fine afterward, having sustained only minor injuries.
Dallas County Constable Michael Gothard is quoted in the report as stating of Michel, “The subject had a felony warrant out for him… My understanding is he had charges against him in the past. So, he is a dangerous subject and needs to be off the street.”
