Wired PR News reports a funeral for the late entertainer Farrah Fawcett was held on Tuesday.

The celebrated icon’s funeral took place in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Wired PR News – Family and friends of late actress Farrah Fawcett gathered at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels on Tuesday in Los Angeles for her funeral. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), those in attendance included Fawcett’s longtime partner Ryan O’Neal and close friend Alana Stewart. Fawcett’s son Redmond, 24, who has been in jail for drug related charges, had also reportedly been granted permission by a judge to be in attendance.

Fawcett passed away last week after a long battle with anal cancer. She was 62 years old. O’Neal is quoted by the AP as releasing the statement following her death, “After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away… Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world.”
