Dallas Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Officials in Dallas will reportedly be handing out fines to those in the city who use illegal fireworks during their July 4th celebrations. As reported by CBS 11 News, authorities will be patrolling areas commonly patronized for Independence Day festivities, such as parks, for illegal fireworks, and those found to be in violation of the law may receive a fine of up to $2,000.
Dallas Fire Rescue Lt. Simmeana Westbrook is quoted by CBS 11 as stating, “Fireworks are illegal in the city of Dallas. A lot of the surrounding cities have picked it up too. There’s pretty much nowhere in the immediate area you can go and pop off fireworks.”
