Many have canceled their holiday plans due to recent killings.
Lawyer Press Release Service– Wired PR News – Recent deaths allegedly at the hands of a serial killer have left many South Carolina residents afraid to leave their homes. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), many residents in the state have canceled plans for the 4th of July holiday after several unsolved murders.
As noted in the report, the series of killings began last Saturday with the shooting death of a 63-year-old man. The most recent victims include a man killed at his family’s place of business and his teenage daughter, who sustained serious injuries.
Resident Tanya Phillips is quoted by the AP as stating, “I’m not taking any chances… I’ll go out during the day, but not at night. I just don’t feel safe.”
Police are reportedly working on the case, and have urged individuals to take extra precautions to ensure their safety for weekend celebrations.
