GM Makes Green Plans
The automaker plans major changes as it prepares to leave bankruptcy.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – General Motors Corp. (GM) is reportedly planning major changes within the company as it prepares to exit being under bankruptcy protection. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), included on the list of changes is a bigger focus on fuel efficiency and green technologies as well as those pertaining to management. The company reportedly may also change the color of its logo to reflect an increased focus on efforts to go green.
Steve Rattner, who heads the auto task force for the Obama administration, is quoted by the AP as stating of GM’s adjustments, “It would be natural as part of this overall downsizing of GM for there to be a change in the management structure to become a bit closer to the ground, a bit leaner and meaner.”
