North Texas Couple Commits Suicides on Railroad Tracks

The circumstances surrounding the suicides of a well known minister and his wife leave a community in shock.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News –- The double suicide of a North Texas minister and his wife continues to remain a mystery to the small town of Henrietta, Texas. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, family and friends of Rev. Eldon Earl Johnson, 69 and his wife Linda Kay, 61 have had a difficult time finding a reason why the couple chose to end their lives last month.
As noted in the report, the couple was highly regarded in their community for offering assistance to those affected by a destructive fire three years ago in their church town. They committed the joint suicide by stepping in front of an oncoming train. The Johnsons were reportedly viewed as happy, having spent 43 years together, and were not to anyone’s knowledge dealing with any devastating financial or health issues.
The couple’s daughter Melissa is quoted in the report as stating of the mystery surrounding the deaths of her parents, having not been left a note, “We have looked everywhere… “We thought maybe they’d mail us something. We checked e-mail, Facebook. At this point, we’re just not trying to guess. It’s just too mind-boggling.”
