Jessica Simpson has reportedly broken up with boyfriend Tony Romo.

The couple has reportedly ended their relationship.

Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Pop star Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboy Tony Romo have reportedly ended their relationship. As reported by E! Online, Romo broke up with Simpson the night before her planned Barbie-themed birthday celebration was scheduled to take place.

A source is quoted in the report as stating of Simpson’s reaction to the split, “She was surprised. She wouldn’t have planned a party if she knew this was coming… They’re both going their separate ways.” Simpson cancelled the celebration, while Romo is said to have gone out with friends on her birthday.

Simpson is quoted by E! Online as twittering Sunday, “Everyone needs to know that hope floats…grab the strings and pull it back to you.”

As noted in the report, Simpson’s ex-husband Nick Lachey also recently ended his relationship with Vanessa Minnillo after three years.
