Press Release Service – Wired PR News – A new local website helps Dallas area residents track crime in their neighborhoods. As reported by CBS 11 News, CrimeReports.com is said to show crime statistic information for local communities on a street by street level.

Greg Whisenant, who runs the website, is quoted in the report as stating of its benefits, “What we’re trying to do is arm the public with information that they need to make wise choices in terms of keeping themselves protected.”

The website reportedly shows information on crimes in various neighborhoods that occur over the course of two weeks from the date of search. A thirty-day search option is also available.

As noted in the report, critics of the site warn users that information provided may not be complete crime statistics due to data compiled being that which police departments may selectively provide.
