Mesothelioma Cancer News: Charges Brought for Illegal Asbestos Removal
Two men have been charged for alleged improper removal of asbestos.
Mesothelioma Cancer News (Massachusetts) – Two men have been charged with the improper removal of asbestos in connection with demolition projects in Attleboro and North Attleboro, Massachusetts. As reported by the Wicked Local, Arthur Amaral, who owns Northeast Demolition and Removal, and site foreman Shaun Amaral were charged with violating the Clean Air Act following a Massachusetts Environmental Crimes Strike Force (ECSF) investigation.
As noted in the report, the men were arraigned on the charges this week and are set to appear in court during the early part of September for a pre-trial conference. The two stand accused of directing workers to proceed with demolition and renovation projects without properly removing asbestos found to be present beforehand, and failing to comply with other regulations.
