COKO KORINNE BLASTS ACROSS THE INTERNET WITH RELEASE OF THE NEW DIGITAL SINGLE “GREEK DANCE”
Memphis-TN (WiredPRNews.com Press Release) — With her unique sound and style, Memphis-raised R&B singer, writer and producer COKO KORINNE is blasting across the internet with the release of her new digital single “Greek Dance” as it takes the nation by storm. Injected with Coko’s raw power, irresistible groove and sleek melodic layers, the thumping beat is inciting a new way to stroll.
Taking cues from the longstanding history of college Greek organizations and the art form of stepping and strolling, Coko Korinne assembled “Greek Dance” to unite members across the country to stroll in stride with each other. With today’s latest moves, the Greek members express themselves by dancing, chanting, waiving their sign and screaming their call. Coko’s new single is on target to launch this dance movement to the forefront of college campuses nationwide.
Drawing from her own Greek life experiences, Coko Korinne was inspired to write “Greek Dance” in an effort to positively promote the social side of being in a Greek Organization. “The song gets all the Greeks involved,” explains Coko. “It’s definitely a tool used to promote Greek unity and overcome any rivalries that might exist among different groups.”
The song’s message also reflects Coko’s philosophy on how Greek life should be enjoyed. “Let’s put the animosity to the side and just dance…lets show everyone how fun it is to be Greek,” she continues.
And that message is sticking. Within days of launching the single online, “Greek Dance” was spreading virally through members of Greek organizations at college campuses and buzzing through social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
Beyond the expanding positive response for her first single, Coko Korinne is preparing the release of her debut full-length album M.E.M.P.H.I.S. that is set for release in 2010.
