The Dallas County Health Department recommends parents make sure their kids’ shots are up to date as the new school year approaches.

As reported by CBS 11 News, the Dallas County Health Department is advising parents that now may be the time to take care of getting necessary shots for their children as new vaccine requirements have been put into effect by the state of Texas.
As noted in the report, recent state changes have made some vaccinations that were previously recommended a requirement for some school aged students including vaccines for Meningococcal disease, Measles, Hepatitis A, Rubella, and other diseases. Individuals may visit the website of the Texas Department of State Health Services for more information about immunization requirements as well as places shots may be obtained.
