As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the book retail giant is set to provide shoppers with access to books that may be read on devices such as the iPhone, BlackBerry, computers, and others. The move reportedly helps advance their position in terms of competition with retailers such as Amazon.com, which sell popular e-book reading devices.
William Lynch, President of Barnes & Noble, is quoted by the AP as stating of the plans, “As the world’s largest bookstore, we’re trying to get digital books into the hands of people who want them — any device, any time, anywhere.”
