Sarah Palin No Longer Alaska Governor
Sarah Palin stepped down from the post on Sunday.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Sarah Palin’s last day as Governor of Alaska was Sunday. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), it remains unclear what Palin’s future political plans are; however, outside of politics, Palin expressed intentions on writing a book.
As noted in the report, in regards to speculation surrounding her political ambitions, Palin’s family spokesperson, Meghan Stapleton, denies the claim Palin is running for president or that she has media deals in the works. Stapleton is quoted by the AP as stating, “I cannot express enough there is no plan after July 26. There is absolutely no plan.” Palin’s resignation reportedly comes amid an ethics investigation. The popularity that Palin enjoyed during her vice president run has also reportedly fallen sharply.
As further noted by the AP, Lt. Governor Sean Parnell will take over Palin’s position.
