Knoxville, TN (WiredPRNews.com) — To celebrate their new line of value-priced candy gift baskets, Candy Blast, Inc. will contribute $1 for every new gift basket purchased to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee’s “Food for Kids” program. This program provides school-age children with a new backpack to take home after school or on the weekends, filled with nutritious, non-perishable food that can be easily prepared by a child. Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee is a member of Feeding America.
When customers began asking for more cost friendly products, Candy Blast founder, Yvonne Marsh, developed this new line of candy gift baskets. “Like everyone in the country, our loyal customers are feeling the economic pinch. When they asked us for gifts under $30, we created this line of five products suitable for birthdays, get well, or “just because” occasions.
Our new gift baskets allow our customers to send attractive, delicious gifts and still stay in their budgets. As a way to also give back to our local community, I decided to donate $1 of each basket to our local Second Harvest “Food for Kids” program. It is a fabulous program that really touches my heart, because no child should be hungry. Our goal is to raise $2,800, which would allow us to sponsor an entire school for a whole year.”
These five new candy gift baskets can be purchased by consumers on the web site or by phone. The promotion for Second Harvest will continue through the end of the year.
