Multi-Condo Unit Has One Tenant
A highrise in Florida houses only a single family due to economic downturn.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – A 32 story Florida highrise, overlooking the water and containing opulent furnishings and design houses only a single tenant. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), the rare sight, which is a result of the economic downturn, is the plight of a New Jersey family who purchased a condo in the building during a booming housing market and has now been left unable to transfer to another location due to their contract.
Victor Vangelakos is quoted in the report as stating of his motivation for the purchase, “The future was going to be southwest Florida.” He now states of living in the building without any neighbors, “Being from the city, it’s very eerie… It’s almost like a scary movie.”
Vangelakos is further quoted as stating of his family’s issue with not being able to find a workable solution for moving out of their unit with The Related Group, with whom they made the purchase, “They want us to be refugees in Tower II… That’s not how I expected us to live here.”
