Former Playboy Media Executive Moves to Gamestop
The company has hired Chris Petrovic to manage its digital media operations.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Gamestop Corp. has hired former Playboy executive Chris Petrovic to join their team. As reported by the Dallas Business Journal, the Grapevine based video game retailer has named Petrovic general manager of its digital media operations.
Petrovic will reportedly aid in increasing digital sales for the company using their websites and stores across the globe. John Barrett with the Parks Associates research firm is quoted in the report as stating of the future of video game digital distribution, “The benefits of digital distribution are unquestionable… It’s expensive to have packaged media… There’s no doubt you’re transitioning to digital distribution. The question is, How fast will it occur?”
Petrovic previously held a position with Playboy Enterprises as vice president of digital media.
