Best Buy Offer the Shock of a Lifetime
A Best Buy deal that turned out to be too good to be true gave customers a huge surprise.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – An online mistake led many consumers to believe they could purchase a new 52-inch television for only $9.99. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), those who tried to take advantage of the deal soon found out that it was too good to be true after Best Buy Inc. corrected the mistake and posted the sale price of $1,799.99; much higher than $9.99, but lower than its original pricing of $3,399.99.
As noted by the AP, Best Buy reportedly does not intend to honor the $9.99 price for customers who placed orders before the correction was made. The company is also stated to have plans to cancel those orders and give customers refunds for them.
