Cancer Deaths Lower in the U.S.
A new study shows that cancer deaths rates have decreased in the U.S.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Cancer death rates have reportedly decreased in the United States. As reported by HealthDay News, a new study states that cancer death rates have significantly declined among older as well as younger individuals.
Lead author of the study, Dr. Eric Kort, is quoted in the report as stating of the findings, “Older Americans have only experienced decreased [cancer] mortality very recently, but younger Americans have been seeing benefits for a long time so, as a result, everyone born in the last 60 years has been reaping the benefits of efforts in prevention research and treatment research and early detection research.”
More information about the study may be found in the August 15 publication of the Cancer Research journal.
