Video Game Spawned from Swine Flu
Researchers have reportedly developed a new video game inspired by the swine flu pandemic.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – The swine flu has inspired more than fear in individuals: it has recently become the inspiration for a new video game. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a video game created by Dutch researchers has been released to raise awareness about the pandemic.
As noted in the report, players of the game are provided with the challenge of figuring out how to control the widespread outbreak of the swine flu. Albert Osterhaus with Erasmus Medical Center, and co-designer of “The Great Flu” is quoted by the AP as stating, “It is actually what is happening now, what is happening in the real world.”
As noted by the AP, the game, which has been made available to players for free, may currently only be played by visiting the website http://www.thegreatflu.com.
