Dallas Fed President Says Recession Over
Dallas Federal Reserve Chief Richard W. Fisher weighs in on the state of the economy.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – The president and chief and the Dallas Federal Reserve, Richard W. Fisher, recently expressed his views on the state of the economy. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, Fisher says the recession is over; however, people should be cautious with certain expectations.
Fisher is quoted in the report as stating, “We’re beginning to see indicators that we’re coming out of this” however, “I think it will be a while before businesses rehire or increase pay. They’re all going to be very, very conservative on that front until they feel comfortable that we have a global economy that is proceeding. I think that will take some time.”
As noted in the report, some are in disagreement that the recession has come to an end, but there seems to be consensus over some improvement being seen in the economy.
