DJ AM Reportedly Found Dead in New York
The famous disc jockey died Friday of a possible drug overdose.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Popular disc jockey Adam Goldstein, who is better known as DJ AM, has died. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Goldstein was found dead in NYC Friday, with drug paraphernalia also found by police in his apartment in Manhattan.
The 36-year-old survived a plane crash in September of last year along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker. Goldstein is quoted by the AP as stating to People magazine following the crash, “I can’t believe I made it… I’ve prayed every night for the past 10 years. There’s a lot more to thank God for now. … I was saved for a reason. Maybe I’m going to help someone else. I don’t question it. All I know is I’m thankful to be here.”
As noted by the AP, Goldstein’s reality show about interventions for drug users was set to debut in October.
