Frog Found in Soda
Tests reportedly confirm that animal remains were in a man’s Diet Pepsi soda can.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – A test by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has reportedly confirmed that a frog or toad was in the soda can of a man in Florida. As reported by the Orlando Sentinel, the FDA tests concluded that animal remains were in a can of Diet Pepsi consumed by Fred Denegri in July.
As noted in the report, Denegri was cooking outside in Ormond Beach upon making the discovery. A spokesperson for Pepsi has reportedly stated of the matter that the company’s manufacturing process makes it impossible for an animal like a frog to get into their can products.
Pepsi spokesman Jeff Dahncke is quoted by the Sentinel as stating of the FDA findings, “The FDA conducted a thorough inspection of our Orlando facility and found no cause for concern. In this case, the FDA simply was unable to determine when or how the specimen entered the package.”
