Michael Jackson Laid to Rest in Emotional Ceremony
The late entertainer was entombed Thursday in a private ceremony.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Family and friends of late entertainer Michael Jackson gathered together Thursday for a final farewell to the King of Pop. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a private service was held for Jackson Thursday night at the Forest Lawn Glendale mausoleum.
As noted by the AP, mourners at the service included Elizabeth Taylor, Macaulay Culkin, and Gladys Knight in addition to Jackson’s children and other family. A fan of the singer, Maria Martinez, who was reportedly among a number of individuals who stood outside the cemetery unable to attend the service, requested that a man who had an invitation to get in put flowers she brought on Jackson’s grave for her. Martinez is quoted in the report as stating of the gesture, “They were small and ugly, but I did that with my heart.”
