District Refused to Air Obama Education Speech, Will Bus Students to Hear Bush

Some are questioning why the Arlington school district refused to allow students to hear an education focused speech by President Obama in class, but will be bussing students to hear former President Bush.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Questions have been put to the Arlington Independent School District regarding their decision to not show students the nationally televised speech by President Barack Obama on education live, after an announcement that they plan to bus students to hear an upcoming speech by former president George W. Bush. As reported by NBCDFW News, Dwight McKissic Sr., the senior pastor of Arlington’s Cornerstone Baptist Church, has expressed concerns over the decision.
McKissic is quoted in the report as stating of the issue, “I do not understand the duplicity in this situation… I believe the students and the public deserve and need to have these differences explained.”
