The home of the jailed former financier will be available for sale this week.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – The penthouse of jailed former financier Bernard Madoff and his wife will be listed for sale this week. As reported by Reuters, the New York City duplex is expected to be sold for around $10 million, with proceeds going to help with reimbursing victims of Madoff’s massive investment fraud.
Deputy U.S. Marshal Roland Ubaldo, who gave the media a showing of the apartment, is quoted by Reuters as stating of the home, “Although it does have the Madoff name attached to it, I believe the dark cloud has lifted and we’re going to get prospective buyers for this property… This is a great piece of property.”
Ubaldo is also stated to note that the broker will determine the list price for the penthouse.
