Press Release Service – Wired PR News – President Barack Obama spoke about climate change on Tuesday, citing the United States was “determined to act” on the issue. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), Obama spoke briefly at a summit assembled by Ban Ki-moon, United Nations Secretary-General.
Obama is quoted by the AP as stating, “The journey is hard. And we don’t have much time left to make it… We understand the gravity of the climate threat. We are determined to act. And we will meet our responsibility to future generations.”
The president is further quoted as stating, “It is true that for too many years, mankind has been slow to respond to or even recognize the magnitude of the climate threat. It is true of my own country as well. We recognize that… Our generation’s response to this challenge will be judged by history.”
