Divorce Rates High in Florida and Indiana Counties

Statistics show counties in these areas to have the highest divorce rates in the country.
Press Release Service – Wired PR News – Counties in Florida and Indiana top the list for areas with the highest number of divorces. As reported by the Associated Press (AP), a statistics report released this week showed the two states to each have three counties on the top ten list of those with the highest divorce rates. Included on the list are Monroe County, Putnam County, Pinellas County in Florida and Wayne, Floyd, and Madison counties in Indiana.
Jiulio Margalli, a divorce attorney in Key West, Florida is quoted by the AP as stating of current divorce trends in the area, “What we have now is people getting divorced and fighting over who is going to take over the debt. Who’s going to be saddled with the $800K mortgage that neither one could pay?… It used to be that we saw people get divorced and fight over the home. Now it’s, ‘Oh, my God, not only are we getting divorced, our credit is going down the tubes and we’re going into foreclosure.”
